An assistant is someone you give access to your account so they can do part of the work — take the register, collect fees, enter grades, upload materials — without becoming a teacher in their own right, and without seeing everything.
How many assistants you can have depends on your plan: Free allows none, Starter allows one, and Basic and Pro are unlimited. See Plans & AI Credits.

Adding an assistant

  1. Go to Assistants.
  2. Enter their phone number — that’s all that’s required. They type their own name later.
  3. Choose what they’re allowed to do (see below). You can leave them with no access for now and set it later.
  4. You get a one-time activation link. Forward it to them over WhatsApp.
  5. They open the link, pick a name and a password, and they’re in. From then on they sign in with their phone number and password.
The link is shown once and can’t be recovered. If you sent it to the wrong chat or it went missing, press Resend — a new link is minted and the old one stops working immediately.
You can also ask the WhatsApp bot for an assistant link with the Assistant link button, without opening the dashboard at all. See WhatsApp Bot.

Permissions: three jobs, not a checklist

Instead of a long permission matrix, you pick the job you hired the assistant to do. The three jobs combine — pick one, two, or all three. When you pick more than one job, each area takes the strongest level granted — combining can only widen access, never narrow it. Picking all three is the honest way to say “can do everything”, and you still see the three jobs rather than one button that hands over the lot.

AI is a separate switch

Access to the AI tools is not part of any job — it’s an independent switch layered on top, because trusting someone to grade is a different decision from trusting them to spend your AI credits. The Online Exams pages don’t need this switch: an assistant with Grading but no AI can still run and grade exams, and loses only the question generators.

What can never be delegated

These aren’t permissions set to off — there is no switch for them at all, and no assistant reaches them however much you grant:
  • Payouts and wallet top-ups
  • Buying AI credit packs
  • Changing or cancelling the subscription
  • Adding other assistants
  • Linking a WhatsApp number to the bot
  • Verification and certifications

Spending limits and pricing

Each assistant has three extra controls:
  • AI credit cap — the most they may spend in a period. With no cap they’re still bounded by your own balance.
  • Can change pricing — whether they may alter class fees.
  • Maximum discount — a ceiling on any discount or refund they apply.

Watching the work, and pausing it

Each assistant’s card shows what they actually did: their most frequent actions, an activity calendar for the last three months, and the last day they were active. Similar work is folded into one line — taking a register for 19 students shows as one row, not nineteen. An assistant is Pending (link not opened yet), Active, Suspended, or Revoked. Suspending blocks sign-in and keeps the history — use it for time off, and keep revoking for people who have left for good.
