# Creating a Class

> Set up a new class with its subject, schedule, and fees.

## Create a class

1. Go to **[Classes](https://www.trackademi.com/en/teacher/classes)** in the sidebar.
2. Click **Create** at the top right.
3. Fill in the class details:
   * **Class name** — how it'll appear to you and your students
   * **Subject** and **class type**
   * **Education stage** (Primary, Preparatory, Secondary, …) and **school system** — these determine which subjects and grade levels are available next
   * **Grade level**
   * **Schedule** — pick the days it runs, or choose a monthly schedule instead of weekly, plus start and end time
   * **Start and end date** for the class
4. Optional details:
   * **Description** — a short note about the class, visible to enrolled students
   * **Online or in-person** — if in-person, add the location (name, address, and map coordinates)
   * **Age range** and **maximum number of students**
   * **Fees** — leave this off for a free class, or turn it on and pick how payment is collected
   * **Free trial** — let new students try a limited number of sessions before paying
5. Click **Save**. Your new class appears in your Classes list right away.

<Note>
  If you're on a plan with a class-size cap, the maximum-students field won't let you go above it. Higher tiers remove the cap.
</Note>

## Editing a class

Open the class from your [Classes](https://www.trackademi.com/en/teacher/classes) list and use the edit action on its card — the same form opens pre-filled, and you can change any field including the schedule.

## What's next

Once your class exists, students can find and request to join it — see [Adding Students](/en/teacher/adding-students).
